Roll back a bad update in one click
When you replace a file or folder, Vaultix now keeps the version it replaced. If the update goes wrong, one click brings it back.
Why we built it
A broken build reaches your customers the moment you replace the old one. Until now, getting it back meant finding the old file on your own disk and uploading it again, while your customers waited.
What changed
- Replacing a file or folder keeps the version it replaced, for as long as the file exists.
- Roll back makes that version current again. The one you rolled back from is kept, so you can switch back.
- In end-to-end encrypted apps your browser checks the previous version’s signature and signs the rollback. Vaultix can’t roll anything back on its own.
- Your app needs no update. It gets the restored version with a new signing time.
- One previous version is kept per file or folder. Older ones are deleted for good after 8 days.
How to use it
- Open Files or Folders in your app and click the clock icon next to Replace.
- Check the date and size of the previous version, then click Roll back.
