Vaultix account phrase

24 words that back up every encrypted app of your account. Vaultix never sees them.

What it is

Your encrypted apps are opened with keys that only you and your approved team hold. Every day your password opens them. The Vaultix account phrase is the backup behind your password: 24 words that restore your access to every encrypted app you own, including apps you create later.

One phrase per account, not per app.
It is made in your browser. Vaultix stores only the date you confirmed it, never the words.
Vaultix can’t show it to you again without your password and can’t restore it if it is lost.

When you see it

Owners of apps created before October 2026 also get a list of their apps in that dialog. An app marked “needs its app phrase” is covered after you type that app’s own 24 words once.

Forgot your password

Ask for a link
On the sign-in page click Forgot password?. The link in the email works for 60 minutes.

With your account phrase
Paste the 24 words (all of them into the first box) and set a new password. Everything stays as it was: every app opens at once and your team keeps its access.

Without it
Click I don’t have it. The page then asks for each encrypted app’s own phrase. An app you skip keeps running for your users but stays locked for you until you open App Settings → Restore access and type its 24 words. Team members who reset without a phrase get access again from the owner.

An authenticator code is asked only if your account uses one.

App phrases

Apps created before October 2026 had their own 24 words. Those stay valid as a backup for that one app. For any app you own, App Settings → End-to-end encryption → App phrase shows that app’s words after your password, for example for an offline copy of a single app.

Keep it safe

Treat it like the master key of your apps

Whoever has your account phrase and access to your email can open the files, variables and user data of every app you own. Write it on paper or save it in a password manager, never in a chat or a screenshot. If both your password and the phrase are lost, apps without a saved app phrase can’t be opened again (they keep working for your users).

Download and Print in the phrase dialog give you a text copy with your account email and the date.
Deleting an app does not change the phrase: keep it.
How the phrase fits into the rest of the encryption: End-to-end encryption. Technically it is the BIP39 encoding of your personal seed (P).
